  2. Soup in a hurry

Am just sitting down to a lovely tinned soup – go to Amys.com – I sourced mine from waitrose. I’m spooning down a lovely lentil soup which is gluten free, dairy free (a joy for me because I’m lactose intolerant and nearly all soups are made with milk or cream) and its non GM. Ingredients are as follows:

Water, vegetables, celery onions, carrots, potatoes, lentils, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt spice. How about that for good ingredients – its like I’ve just popped into the kitchen and made it from scratch!

Above is an interesting link to a recent article in the telegraph that you may find of interest. I went shopping recently with a client and she wanted to see my weeks shop and was astonished to see amidst the curly kale and broccol were two packets of full fat butter.

  4. Toast

I hope you all got to watch the wonderful Toast – a nostalgic and moving look at Nigel Slaters journey to the Savoy. Worth a look on iplayer if you have missed it. I thought the acting was terrific and the food very evocative of the 1960’s.
