Please think carefully before buying GM..
Every now and then I want to inform you of what is going on globally – I apologise as often this is not pretty, and I think it’s going to get worse. Please read this article on the high suicide rate of Indian farmers over pressure to use genetically modified seed. If Monsanto had its way all seed would be GM – please show your support and make a stand and do not buy GM foods. Any good company will show ingredients that are easy to read. I recently picked up a feta cheese from the Co-op that was sourced from GM seed. I know this topic divides people but for those of you are passionate about global issues, this is part of the huge domino effect.

Phil Angell, Monsanto’s director of corporate communications explained the company’s regulatory philosophy to Michael Pollen in 1998: “Monsanto should not have to vouchsafe the safety of biotech food. Our interest is in selling as much of it as possible. Assuring its safety is FDA’s job”. Google, do your own research, make up your own mind.
